Investment Portfolio:
The Abundance Effect in action.

Generous philanthropy makes communities stronger. Impact investing through Abundance Capital takes philanthropy farther than it could ever go alone.

Through donor-advised funds called Angel Funds, donors can activate capital that might otherwise remain idle.

Types of Investments

When donors become Abundance Angels, they can participate in investments supporting nonprofits, impact-oriented businesses, and catalytic pooled funds.

Catalytic Pooled Funds are collaborative, multi-donor pooled funds guided by community advisors and trusted nonprofit partners. Some are organized around a specific mission, like veteran entrepreneurship through Upstate Warrior Solution, or early-stage business growth through Village Launch (of Mill Village Ministries). Others are rooted in a particular geography, such as the Lowcountry Impact Fund.

Catalytic Funds

Village Launch Catalytic Fund

Advised by Mill Village Ministries (a 501(c) (3) organization), the Village Launch fund makes right-fit loans to select graduates of its entrepreneurial training programs. A volunteer advisory committee helps guide investment selection and accountability.

Upstate Warrior Catalytic Fund

Directed by an advisory group of veterans from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, the Upstate Warriors Fund deployed its first loans in 2025.

Lowcountry Impact Fund

Built on the belief that Angels invest and communities compound, the Lowcountry Impact Fund (LIF) turned its first pilot investment — a $1 million construction loan — into seven new homes for North Charleston families in March 2026. LIF pools charitable capital from Angels and deploys it into local businesses, real estate, and nonprofits, shaping the future of the Lowcountry.

Abundance Capital does not accept unsolicited investment applications. If your organization may be a strong fit, please connect with a partner network or contact us.

Our investments are organized across nine core impact pillars:

Community Development and Infrastructure

Community Safety and Justice

Economic Mobility and Financial Inclusion

Education

Environment and Climate

Food and Agriculture

Health and Well-Being

Housing and Stability

Local Enterprise and Jobs

Because every opportunity is different, the capital structures behind them are different, too. Some investments are short-term loans. Others involve long-term patient capital, recoverable grants, pooled funds, or equity investments designed around the realities of the project and the people leading it.
